How UGC Gateway Works

NewBay's User Generated Content (UGC) Gateway connects the Operator infrastructure to any number of 3rd party sites. It uniquely handles all the complexity of connecting to 3rd party sites, including posting media, viewing WAP pages and sending text alerts to users' devices.

The UGC Gateway automatically converts messages from the Operator's network into the proprietary formats and protocols required by 3rd party sites and vice versa.

The Operator retains control of the relationship with the 3rd party sites and can enforce policies at the Gateway to promote, demote or even remove sites from their service. The system can also automatically take a copy of all media posted and store it on the Operator's network.
