home > about us > careers > our people > sola oso  Sola Oso (Senior Tester) I have ten years experience as an Administrator with the NHS, in London, UK. Having completed a Masters in IT, I changed career and worked for 5 years as a Software Tester with the Police IT in London, UK. I then relocated to Ireland with my family and joined NewBay in July 2007. My job at NewBay I joined Newbay as Senior Tester and initially worked on O2 and Swisscom products. As time progressed I got the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of new clients and I am currently working with T Mobile US, where I am responsible for testing and QA of its US mobile products. Why I chose NewBay Having worked in the public sector, my preference was then to switch and work in the private sector. I specifically wanted to work in a Web/Mobile technology area in an agile development environment. I also wanted to work in a fast moving organization where new ideas, innovations and processes are encouraged. I have gained fantastic experience in the testing environment and my customers and team members make all the difference. There is always someone to help you out or provide guidance if you need it. What I most enjoy I enjoy making sure that all software deployed to my customers is of the highest quality in NewBay standards. NewBay also has a very multicultural atmosphere with staff from across the world working here. There is something nice about that especially for staff such as myself, that have relocated here. As people can be quite busy during the working days, the sports and social club is a great way to meet new staff from across all areas of the company. Advice to perspective employees NewBay is a fast growing high tech quality company. Because of the release of new products and the success of previous products, you get to develop close long term relationships with your customers, who will value your experience and advice. The team is constantly growing in line with the company's expansion and it is great to work around so many experienced staff. In my role, there is a focus on implementing new testing procedures so I am constantly updating my skill set and learning new things.  back
