Prior to NewBay, I worked for Exoftware, a company specializing in agile software delivery and training. I graduated from Electronic Engineering at NUI, Galway in 2003 - the youngest person ever to do so and won a number of awards for my degree project at all local, provincial and national levels. My Job at NewBay I've been at NewBay for 3 years and currently work as Principal ASTRA Engineer. Taking my knowledge and understanding of our entire product set, I am responsible for developing and maintaining all reusable software modules and components. Why I chose NewBay I was looking for an Irish software company with a strong sales and management team and a place where I could work on some difficult software engineering challenges. It's a job that sometimes I take home because I want to. What I most enjoy The level of energy of the people I work with here is amazing! A truly high percentage of people here are entirely dedicated to their jobs and there is a real sense of people working together in a productive and friendly way for something good. (I also get to write a lot of code !) Advice to perspective employees Your career path and the level of influence you have over yourself and others isn't bound by your longevity here. Passion for your chosen skill is paramount.  back
